The Journey of Life - A Poem

Through the journey of life we must keep rowing,
Faces to the wind, the sun it is glowing,
Breezes may guide us or set us a drift,
Around each corner, approaching a rift,
The future is unkown, at least here on earth,
The things that you own don't measure your worth,
The finest clothes and a sparkley smile,
Can be draped on even the most vile,
What we posses within, will overflow on the out,
If you're not honest with yourself, of course others will doubt,
You can't hide the truth behind lieing eyes,
Like you can't hide the sun in clear blue skies.
The first step is the hardest, turning away,
From the way that you've lived for so many days.
With each step you take towards truth, I'll hold your hand,
As we venture closer to the promised land,
A land pure and sweet, filled with milk and honey,
No worry, no strife, no trouble with money,
A life of truth, humility and seeking the light,
Is better than darkness, drunkenness and spite.
Yet we live in the world which makes garbage like glamour,
We must hold tight to God's truth and when in the Devil's grip we must scamper.
So paddle or row or let the wind grip your sail,
Ride away from the darkness, but remember it'll always be hot on your trail,
Guard your heart, hold tight to your soul,
We were given free will, so take control!

A little tid bit from my mind.  Hope you enjoy, Have a blessed day!!
